Abstract

60 healthy male rats were divided into 3 groups such as A, exposed directly in front of Visual display terminal, B, exposed in front of Visual display terminal equipped with Neutral Computer¢ç(Raze Technology, France) and C, group as controls. The exposure was continued for 7 days and serum levels of Norepinephrine and Epinephrine were measured by high performance liquid chromatography to detect possible hazard of radiation eminating from Visual display terminal and effect of Neutral Computer.
The results were as follows.
1. Norepinephrine levels of group A (4.72 f 2.21ng / ml) were significantly higher than those of group B (2.71 + 1.31 ng / ml) or control group C (2.88 + 1.42ng / ml )
2. Serum Epinephrine levels of group A (7.82 f 0.43ng / ml) were also significantlT are higher than those of group B (2.80 f 1.21 ng / ml) or control group C (2.46 f 0.34ng / ml )
From the above results, the radiation could possibly change the level of serum norepinephrine and epinephrine of rats and Neutral Computer¢ç functions appropriately as it as designed to.
